The Jeep Wrangler JK went through alot to get to where it is today. From a World War II vehicle, the Jeep was later called the CJ, civilian Jeep. After a few body changes, the YJ and then about 10 years later, the TJ. In 2007, the JK Jeep took over. The 3.8L V6 engines and manual shifting come standard, but you can order one with an automatic transaxle. There are many trim levels, the Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Islander, and Rubicon. The Rubicon had the most tuned gear ratios, and is the best factory built Jeep for rock crawling. All of the Jeeps have Dana 44 axles. All have solid front and heavy duty rear with the exception of the Rubicon, which has heavy duty front instead of solid.

The Jeep Wrangler is a hard one to compete with, but some vehicles that try are the Hummer H3 and the Toyota Fj Cruiser.
