Jeep LibertyIn 2002, the Jeep company introduced the Jeep Liberty KJ, a new compact SUV. This was the smallest Jeep SUV until the 2007 introduction of the Jeep Patriot and Jeep Compass. With the discontinuation of the Jeep Cherokee XJ, the Liberty was introduced and had 2 different motor options and used independent front suspension. In 2008, the Jeep Liberty was remodeled, and a boxier look like the Dodge Nitro was introduced. The 4-cylinder engine option was dropper, and left to the 2 smaller SUV’s. The Sky Slider roof is unique to the Jeep Liberty.
The Jeep Liberty is comparable to the Ford Escape, Nissan Xterra, Toyota Rav-4, Honda CRV, Mercury Mariner, Mazda Tribute, Mitsubishi Outlander, and more.
